How do I transfer my domain to your server without interruption?
  • Notify us that you wish to change your hosting to us
  • Provide the following information:
    1. All domain names that you transferred
    2. All email accounts you have at the domains being transferred
    3. Your current POP server name
    4. Your current SMTP server name
    5. Your current web mail email address
  • Zip your complete website and send it to us in 5MB attachments or UPS/FedEx on CDR
  • Transfer your domain to Network Solutions (see 'D2' below for help)
  • Make us the technical contact and we will migrate the domain when ready (see 'D3')
    1. We will contact you to make sure that you are also ready
  • Once the conversion is complete you can cancel your current hosting company contract 15 days after we notify you that step 5 has been completed.

If you do not XFR your domain to Network solutions you are required to make your own DNS changes and monitor your domain renewal and registration status. Failure to do so may result in lost domain, lost email or an inaccessible web site.

How do I transfer my domain to Network Solution (NetSol)?
  • Go to www.netsol.com
  • Click on transfer your domains (top right)
  • type yourdomain.com in the box and press return
  • Click the 'get started' button in the window
  • Choose ' Person requesting to transfer yourdomain.com, which is currently registered with another Network Solutions Customer or Partner, to my account.'
  • Click continue
  • Put auth code in the text box
  • Click continue
  • Choose 'no thank you' to the additional services that they want you to purchase
  • Click continue
  • The transfer is 0$, if you want to renew your domain at this point, now... then you can purchase additional years here...
  • After you decide what you want to do, click 'proceed to purchase'
  • Choose from the NEW CUSTOMER section, your business option or individual option
  • Click create account
  • The rest is detail work, after you are done it will send a request to us (betterbuilt.com) account holder. We will verify the transfer and authorize its release.
  • After this point it is your responsibility to make sure that the domain is renewed and the DNS changes are made. If you continue to use www.netsol.com we can be made the technical contact for your domain and this will allow us to continue to make DNS updates and notify you when your domain is going to expire.

How do I make BetterBuilt.com my technical contact?
  • Go to www.netsol.com
  • Log-in to your account (account manager for your domain that needs technical administration)
  • Select Edit account contacts from the account manager menu (left side)
  • In the account contacts area choose "add new account administrative or technical contact"
  • In the add contact window choose NIC Handle and put in 16962273I
  • At the next screen choose Account Technical Contact (OR -- administrative contact if you wish for us to be able to Manage user access and privileges also. This latter option is not needed unless your domain requires special assistance; in which case we would let you know ahead of time)
  • At the next screen it will invite us and we will receive a request email to become the technical contact for your domain.

At this point you are done, we will approve the email from netsol and be able to monitor your domain renewal and DNS updates as needed with out service interruption to you.

Side note: By adding us as an administrative or technical contact to your domain this does not give us the right to re-assign your domain nor does it give us ownership of your domain name.

YES!

  • Go to your account manager
  • Log in to your account
  • Unlock your account
  • Update the technical contact information with the following:
    1. John Draggi
      BeterBuilt.com, LLC
      Canton, Ohio 44721
      United States
      jdraggi@betterbuilt.com
      tel: 330-493-7500
      fax: 330-493-7500
  • Save/update changes.
  • Once saved, lock your account
  • Double check that your technical contact information has been updated.
  • Log out of GoDaddy.com
