Eudora 5 New Email Setup

1. Open Eudora 5x.
2. Click the Next button.
3. Click the Create a brand new email account radio button in the Account Settings area.
4. Click the Next button.
5. In the Your Name field, type your full name.
6. Click the Next button.
7. In the Email Address field, type your entire email address (e.g., johndoe@betterbuilt.net).
8. Click the Next button.
9. In the Login Name field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@betterbuilt.com).
10. Click the Next button.
11. In the Incoming Server field, type mail.YourDomain.com.
(e.g., mail.betterbuilt.com)
12. Select POP.
13. Click the Next button.
14. In the Outgoing Server field, type mail.YourDomain.com
(e.g., mail.betterbuilt.com)
15. Check the box next to Allow authentication.
16. Click the Next button.
17. Click the Finish button.
Note: When you first send an email, a window asking for your user name and password will appear.
In the User Name field, type your full email address. (e.g., johndoe@betterbuilt.com)
In the Password field, Type your email password and click OK to continue.

Still using Outlook Express and having problems with SPAM? Programs such as iHateSpam are designed to remove spam from outlook express. Although we suggest you use the full version of Outlook and not the Express version, programs like this one will help reduce the number of spam emails.

ATTENTION AOL, SBC and other customers having problems sending email through your private domain email account.

*** Note: if your ISP blocks port 25

Go to:
Outlook
Tools
Email accounts
View or change existing email accounts
Select appropriate email account and choose change Choose more settings Choose the advanced tab Change the outgoing SMTP server port from 25 to 2500

Choose ok and apply settings... you're all set.
